Why do I need this information?
A psycho-educational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of your student's psychological, cognitive, processing, and academic strengths and weaknesses. The results of the assessment will provide you with information as to how your student thinks and insight into where and why they may be struggling.
What type of tests do you give?
Testing is based on the referral question and will target any combination of the following domains:
Cognitive assessment (IQ, Association, Reasoning, Conceptualization, Expression)
Visual Processing
Auditory Processing
Phonological Processing
Sensory/Motor Processing
Attention Processing, Concentration, Executive Functioning Skills
Social/Emotional/Behavioral (observations, interviews, and rating forms)
Academic Achievement (Basic Reading Skills, Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Math Calculation, Math Problem Solving, Written Expression, Oral Expression)
What happens during an assessment?
An assessment usually involves the following components:

How long does it take?
Testing occurs between 2-4 sessions
